DataRobot Names Eric Forseter General Manager of Public Sector

DataRobot, the category creator and leading provider of automated machine learning, today announced the appointment of Eric Forseter to General Manager (GM) of Public Sector. Forseter will drive adoption of automated machine learning among government agencies, while working closely with DataRobot’s current roster of public sector customers to enable increased efficiencies and optimize their investments.

DataRobot helps public sector agencies leverage the power of automated machine learning to make more accurate predictions faster than ever before. Government agencies rely on DataRobot to anticipate and prevent cyberattacks, detect and avert financial crimes, identify insider threats, improve workforce analytics, optimize logistics and predictive maintenance and advance counterterrorism efforts. Drawing on his experience driving public sector adoption of innovative technologies, Forseter will empower government agencies to identify new opportunities for automated machine learning, while maximizing current investments.

“AI, and specifically automated machine learning, brings a game-changing opportunity to government agencies looking to maximize impact with limited resources. In fact, a recent Deloitte analysis found that AI could free up as many as 1.2 billion working hours in government every year, saving approximately $41.1 billion,” said Forseter. “Working with the DataRobot team, I am eager to help our public sector customers maximize the ROI of their automated machine learning investments, while continuing to educate the sector on how DataRobot can help them achieve their goals.”

Forseter most recently served as Vice President of North America Sales and Federal/Public Sector at Pindrop Security, a leading provider of voice security and authentication software. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of Federal Sales at NetIQ, where he developed and led the enterprise security software company’s go-to-market strategy for federal government. Forseter received his bachelor’s degree in international relations and economics from Tufts University and earned his MBA from the University of Maryland – Robert H. Smith School of Business. He will work out of DataRobot’s Tysons, Va. area office and lead the public sector team, comprised of data scientists and marketing and sales personnel.

“With more than 20 years of experience working with software companies and leading their public sector programs, Eric is the ideal candidate to build DataRobot’s industry momentum and expand that reach to even more agencies,” said Jeremy Achin, CEO and co-founder of DataRobot. “We’re confident that his experience and industry expertise will play a critical role in helping every government agency apply automated machine learning to their operations and, as a result, improve productivity by at least tenfold.”
