Andrew Jensen joins Grabango as Vice President of Operations

Grabango, the premiere checkout-free technology service provider to brick-and-mortar grocers and convenience stores, announced today the appointment of Andrew Jensen as vice president of operations. A seasoned entrepreneur, Jensen brings deep experience in operations management, logistics and strategic growth to Grabango.

Jensen was CFO and COO at 3D Robotics, an aerial analytics and drone platform company. Under his leadership, the company grew from a small number of engineers in California to an organization of over 400 employees worldwide, with hundreds of thousands of products shipped. Prior to 3D Robotics, Jensen’s team at McMaster-Carr managed a cutting-edge supply chain fulfilling millions of orders a year with 99.9 percent accuracy. Jensen graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Utah. He went on to earn an MBA from The Wharton School and a simultaneous master’s in international studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

“Andy really knows how to make the world work on a grand scale. His expertise in enterprise logistics is crucial to the next phase of Grabango’s growth,” said Will Glaser, CEO and founder of Grabango. “We’ll be leaning on his skills pretty heavily as we move from installing a few stores per quarter to a dozen stores per week.”

Jensen will work with Grabango’s fast-growing team of engineers and lead the company’s supply chain, client system installations and quality assurance programs. He will also manage information technology and vendor relations.

“This is an important time for the retail industry and I’m excited to join Grabango just as it’s shifting from top Silicon Valley startup to global technology enterprise,” said Jensen. “I’m proud to work with the extraordinary team that’s leading the way in checkout-free shopping. I’ve always hated waiting in lines.”
