Document Security Systems, Inc. (“DSS”) (NYSE AMEX: DMC), a leader in document, digital information and brand protection solutions, including counterfeit prevention, authentication, mass serialization, RFID and cloud computing technologies, is pleased to announce the launch of its new corporate logo and marketing identity.
“The rebranding initiative is part of DSS’s larger evolution process—it’s a visual representation of the company’s growth and strategic expansion,” said Patrick White, CEO of DSS. “We provide much more than document protection. Over the past 18 months, DSS has progressed from a document-based, anti-counterfeit technology company; to the comprehensive brand and information protection powerhouse it is today. We secure everything from paper, packaging and labels, to identification cards and digital information—no one company encompasses the same level and breadth of services as DSS.”
Previously, the Company operated as four divisions- Document Security Systems, Plastic Printing Professionals, Premier Packaging, and Secuprint- each of which marketed the Company’s AuthentiGuard technology suite, a line of patented overt and covert anti-counterfeiting applications. Under the DSS name, the Company will unify its many capabilities under one corporate identity, and will do business as DSS Printing Group, DSS Packaging Group, DSS Plastics Group, and DSS Digital Group, (which includes the Company’s newly acquired cloud computing and disaster recovery division, ExtraDev, Inc.). Customers will have a consistent look and feel as they interact with the Company’s various divisions to address their wide range of brand protection and information security needs.
“DSS offers a full scope of the industry’s most advanced security technologies and capabilities, and is able to better serve its diverse client base and better protect against highly sophisticated forms of fraud,” said Jason Grady, director of worldwide sales and marketing. “The new corporate marketing identity illustrates DSS’s ability to protect our customers’ brands from every angle.”
DSS plans to continually expand its technology and service offerings to meet the needs of its customers, and to stay ahead of today’s sophisticated counterfeiters.
As the new corporate marketing identity was launched this week, DSS introduced a new logo. It features the bold letters DSS adjacent to a distinctive “force field” surrounding a package. The company’s intent is to get consumers to associate the DSS force field with protecting their brand and vital information from fraudulent attacks. “This element suggests multi-faceted fraud protection and visibly communicates the company’s commitment to overall protection of our customers’ brands and information no matter what the application or threat,” states Grady.
The logo incorporates the tag line “Security Wise. Brand Smart” which talks to the roots of DSS in document security. It emphasizes DSS’s extensive capabilities in protecting some of the worlds most sensitive and at risk brands and information.
Along with the launch of the new marketing identity, DSS unveiled a newly developed corporate website, www.DSSsecure.com. It features updated information on DSS, its range of product and service offerings, relevant market applications, and more. Additional features and functionality will come throughout this coming summer and fall.
