FICS Upgrades Commercial Loan Software

Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS ® ), a commercial mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, has upgraded its commercial loan software , Commercial Servicer, to the most current version of PowerBuilder.

The upgrade to version 11.5 of PowerBuilder enables Commercial Servicer to present a heightened graphical interface, which provides a richer presentation of data by displaying sharper images and text.

In addition to Commercial Servicer’s programming language being upgraded, resulting in a more up-to-date look and feel, the system-generated statements and notices received a makeover. The collection programs within Commercial Servicer were also enhanced to meet the challenges of the current industry environment. Through a more dynamic experience when reviewing loan data and notes, end-users can now view more information on one window, which should reduce the time servicers spend navigating to different screens.

“Our customers need the most flexible, easy-to-use systems on the market to service their commercial loan portfolio,” Susan Graham, president of FICS said. “By upgrading to PowerBuilder 11.5, we are ensuring our products continually evolve to meet their commercial loan servicing technology needs.”

PowerBuilder is the backbone for FICS’ three core products. Loan Producer is a complete residential loan origination system that automates the loan process through closing. Mortgage Servicer automates all servicing functions including escrow administration, collections, investor accounting, payment processing, loss mitigation and year-end reporting. Commercial Servicer enables lenders to service commercial loans, as well as accommodates the servicing of lines of credit and loans for equipment or inventory.
