McGraw-Hill Higher Education today announced the winners of the Get Connected and Win video contest, designed to showcase how students engage with digital course content and learning tools to improve their academic performance. The contest solicited video submissions from students at universities and colleges around the country explaining how they use McGraw-Hill Connect®, the company’s online learning platform, to enhance studying, raise grades and improve the overall learning experience.
Students from Florida National College, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and University of Nebraska at Omaha were selected as the top three prize winners from more than 100 submitted videos. The three winners will receive a $5,000 scholarship, $2,000 scholarship, and $1,000 scholarship, respectively, and their winning videos will be featured on several McGraw-Hill websites and social media channels. Additional prizes, including iPads, iPod touches and Amazon gift cards, will be awarded to the top 50 submissions.
“Our mission is to improve student performance by combining innovative, proven digital technologies with high-quality course content,” said Sharon Loeb, vice president, Center for Marketing Leadership at McGraw-Hill Higher Education. “It’s been so gratifying to hear directly from students how much Connect is improving their learning experiences and improving their performance in class. We’d like to congratulate all of the winners, and thank everyone for their participation.”
Winners were selected by public votes and an elite judging panel made up of top academicians, leading third-party educational organizations, and members of the media covering and influencing key issues in technology and education. To see all 50 winning videos visit http://getconnectedandwin.com.
