The highly anticipated, newly-launched Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti graphics card is on sale at Currys and PC World, the UK’s leading electrical retailers, from today.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti graphics card offers gamers the ultimate gaming experience. Designed to significantly improve a computer’s operating performance, it comes equipped with the GK104 chip, which boasts 1344 cores, 24 ROPs (Render Output Units), 112 TMUs (Texture Mapping Units) and a 192-bit memory interface, which converts to 2GBs of memory. This offers plenty of leeway for the discerning ‘overclocker’ (overclocking refers to users operating their computer at a higher spec than originally stipulated).
The Nvidia card runs at a respectable 915MHz but increases to a whopping 980MHz once its booster capability begins to kick in. The GTX660Ti also uses the impressive Kepler architecture featured with previous GPU models.
Computer buffs at Nvidia claim the GTX 660Ti will hit every gamer’s sweet spot because of the relative price combined with the high operating performance. The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) comes jam-packed with all the key tech benefits which made the GTX 660Ti’s predecessors, the GTX 680 and GTX 670, both commercially successful. The GTX 6660Ti is sure to have gamers salivating at the mouth as staggering visuals bring video games to life on gaming laptops and desktops, and state-of-the-art features take the overall gaming experience to a vivid new level.
Currys and PC World are offering Nvidia’s latest graphics card at £249.99, complete with a free copy of hotly-anticipated First Person Shooter/Role-Playing game Borderlands 2*. The game is also free with purchases of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660Ti Overclocked Edition graphics card.
The GeForce GTX660Ti can be slotted into any Central Processing Unit (CPU) – CPUs driving desktop computers and touch-screen laptops alike.
*Free copy of Borderlands 2 for PC only on selected NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660Ti cards
