Communications Workers of America Ratify Agreement Covering AT&T Wireline Employees in Southwest

AT&T* Southwest today announced that wireline employees represented by the Communications Workers of America District 6 have voted to ratify a four-year contract.

The contract covers about 20,000 AT&T wireline employees in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.

AT&T wireline employees represented by the CWA earlier ratified, on Aug. 17, three-year contracts for the Midwest region and AT&T Corp. (CWA Telecommunications and Technology Office), and on Dec. 7 a three-year contract for the Southeast region. In addition, AT&T West and CWA District 9 on Feb. 20 announced a tentative three-year agreement covering more than 17,000 employees. Including the newly ratified Southwest agreement, the agreements collectively cover about 77,000 AT&T wireline employees.
