On November 21st, 2014, Gwinnett Business Radio welcomed to the studio Jeff Kim of TRACS Group, Jai Rogers of Delta Community Credit Union, Rachel Fasig of Suwanee Magazine and Vince DeSilva of the Gwinnett Chamber. Host Mike Sammond spoke with these thought leaders about uncovering potential within a business and maximizing it.
The Tax Rebate and Credit Specialists (TRACS) Group bring their specialty of identifying and generating state and federal tax credits to Georgia businesses. They service over 1,200 clients and have generated more than $292 million of state and federal tax credits for their clients.
“We identify and generate tax credits for eligible businesses located in opportunity zones here in Georgia,” said Kim of The Tax Rebate and Credit Specialists Group. “We assist businesses and make sure that they are aware of tax credits. If they need assistance, we generate those credits for them.”
Jai Rogers of Delta Community Credit Union was present as well. Delta Community is Georgia’s largest credit union with 23 branches located conveniently across metro Atlanta and three outside of Georgia. Their mission as a not-for-profit financial institution has been to help members get more out of their finances. They do this by offering higher rates on deposits, lower rates on loans and low or no service fees.
Also featured was Rachel Fasig of Suwanee Magazine, a family, community and lifestyle magazine designed to keep pace and flow with the active Suwanee lifestyle. Distributing over 20,000 free copies bi-monthly to hundreds of businesses and locations in the Suwanee area, the magazine shares insight with its readers and focuses on their unique interests.
As members of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, all these guests were selected by Vince DeSilva to appear on the Open For Business special segment. DeSilva, Sr. VP of Membership Services, oversees all sales and business development, membership services, and member retention efforts.
