Global Convergence Inc. (GCI) announced today the acquisition of FCS Global thereby significantly enhancing its ability to provide global IT professional services to their channel partners.
The move accelerates GCI’s growth and international expansion and cements its position as the channel’s service and solution’s company. The FCS Global acquisition brings a world-class Global Centre of Excellence, support teams across the EMEA region, and SLA partners in over 170 countries while expanding the GCI services portfolio. “The acquisition of FCS Global significantly enhances GCI’s already prominent position as a global provider of project and support services to our international channel customers and our strategic vendors,” said Simon Short, President of Global Sales and Marketing. “We have had a long term relationship with the FCS team and have always been highly impressed with their service quality and execution; adding that capability to the GCI team is a key step in our international growth plan.”
FCS Global’s rapidly-expanding Global Centre of Excellence complements GCI’s existing Global Service Center in Tampa, Florida. Based in Cluj, Romania, recently described as the “Silicon Valley of Europe,” the new services center will provide 7x24x365 multi-lingual support to GCI partners throughout EMEA, APAC and LATAM and houses additional resources for global vendor and channel development, inside sales, training, engineering and technical support. This facility, as well as in-country teams based in the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and South Africa further strengthen the GCI global footprint.
GCI’s existing services portfolio in support of voice and data networks, enterprise mobility, and collaboration will be augmented by the addition of FCS Global’s 2,300+ global service partners. The combined GCI/FCS Global organization will have the unique capability to deliver project deployments and support services through over 4,000 service delivery partners across 170 countries.
