Arxan Technologies, the leading provider of application protection solutions, has appointed Joe Sander as the new CEO to expand Arxan’s position as an industry leader in securing applications, including mobile apps and applications driving ioT solutions across a range of industries.
Sander joins Arxan with an outstanding track record of scaling growth-oriented companies and enabling them to reach their full potential. Arxan has enjoyed a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of more than 50%, and Sander will focus on building and accelerating Arxan’s growth by continuing geographic expansion in key markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, and fostering ongoing product innovation.
“Joe is the right leader for this company,” said Tom Heiser, former EVP of EMC and president of RSA, who was recently appointed to the Arxan Board of Directors. “His security expertise, customer-first focus, and pragmatic experience in accelerating growth for technology companies make him an ideal fit for our customers and for our company culture. Joe joins Arxan at a critical time when organizations are looking to defend their applications against reverse-engineering, code tampering, run-time attacks, key theft, and other security threats that jeopardize sensitive information and intellectual property.”
Sander most recently served as president and CEO of Harmony Information Systems, a Healthcare IT organization where he developed a strategic roadmap that resulted in an increase of 309% in year-over-year bookings.
“I am thrilled to join and lead the Arxan team. Arxan is no stranger to growth and market leadership. It has achieved its success by listening to its customers and addressing their security needs quickly with comprehensive security solutions that are essential given today’s dynamic threat environment. Stepping into Arxan, I can tell you that the customer will remain at the center of everything we do and we will continue to apply leading-edge innovation to every customer engagement to continue Arxan’s technology innovation and market leadership,” said Sander.
Prior to joining Harmony, Sander served as president and CEO of a Netherlands-based company, Consul Risk Management. Under Sander’s guidance, Consul established itself as a leader in the Forrester “Security Information Management” Wave and was recognized as the Most Innovative Company in Holland by a leading Dutch magazine. Sander successfully positioned the company to enter a strategic exit that resulted in the sale of the business to IBM Corporation. Joe has also held senior positions at TruSecure Corporation, InSoft, and Computervision Corporation.
