Bazaarvoice Appoints Heather Brunner as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Client Services

Bazaarvoice, the market and technology leader in hosted social commerce applications that drive sales, today announced that Heather Brunner has been appointed as senior vice president of worldwide client services. Brunner, who joins Bazaarvoice with nearly 20 years of start-up and Fortune 500 technology experience, oversees Bazaarvoice’s industry-leading services organization as it continues to innovate social commerce strategies and best practices to help companies gain higher ROI from social commerce initiatives. In her new role, Brunner will work closely with Bazaarvoice’s executive team and its world-class clients to set the standard for professional services, implementation support, content moderation, and community management for businesses around the world.

“Bazaarvoice has built its reputation as a global leader that provides market-changing, innovative solutions and services, all while creating an organizational culture that challenges people to be their best and to have fun while doing so,” said Brunner. “Great things happen when you mix world-class clients with smart, talented, and engaged people, and I’m thrilled to be part of an exceptional team who takes every opportunity to exceed client expectations and value.”

A seasoned leader with nearly 20 years of experience in operations and client services, Brunner has built a career delivering technology to create exceptional business value for privately funded new ventures and Fortune 500 companies alike. With deep expertise and proven results in operations, P&L management, client services, and inspirational leadership, Brunner has built teams responsible for delivering hundreds of millions in business value.

Before joining Bazaarvoice, Brunner served as president and CEO of Nuvo, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trilogy and provider of managed network services. Prior to her appointment at Nuvo, Brunner was chief operations officer (COO) for B-Side, a privately funded entertainment technology company, where she led day-to-day business operations, technology delivery, finance, and G&A. She has held various other executive management roles at leading technology companies, including Coremetrics, where she led worldwide client services, and Trilogy, where she served as vice president of client delivery and operations. In addition, she served as regional vice president at Concero, where she had a $45 million P&L responsibility and led a team of 130 business and consulting professionals. Prior to Concero, she was a practice director at Oracle, where she led the grounds-up development of the Central Texas enterprise sales and consulting practice, building an $18 million book of business in less than 18 months.

“Heather Brunner has a long history of building and running first-rate client services organizations for companies like Accenture, Oracle, and Trilogy,” said Brett Hurt, founder and CEO of Bazaarvoice. “It is an honor to add someone of Heather’s caliber to the Bazaarvoice executive team, and I’m very excited to work alongside her as we deliver social commerce solutions to the world’s largest companies and ensure that we support their businesses and brands as effectively as possible.”

Brunner started her career at Accenture, where she became senior manager in less than five years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Trinity University and is an active, almost decade-long volunteer with the Capital Area United Way where she serves on the Community Impact Cabinet.
