Boingo Wireless Hires Edward Zinser as First CFO

Boingo Wireless, which provides access to the world’s largest network of Wi-Fi hotspots, today announced that Edward Zinser joined the company as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 28. Zinser is responsible for the planning, legal, finance and corporate development functions of the company.

Most recently executive vice president and CFO of THQ, Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI), Zinser has also served in senior financial positions with Vivendi Universal, USA Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:IBUY), and The Walt Disney Company.

At THQ, Zinser managed all financial, accounting, investor relations and information systems activities. At Vivendi Universal, he oversaw VU Games’ worldwide accounting and finance operations. Zinser came to VU Games from USA Networks, where he served as President and COO of Styleclick Inc. He was previously senior vice president and CFO of USA Networks’ Internet Shopping Network.

Zinser has also served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Disney’s Publishing Group and has held other management positions at leading companies, including The Franklin Mint, the Pepsi Cola Bottling Group and The Campbell Soup Company.

A board member of Universal Electronics (Nasdaq:UEIC), Zinser received his BS in Management from Fairfield University and his MBA in Finance from University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
