InfoSpace Names Stephen Hawthornthwaite as Vice President of Corporate Development

InfoSpace, Inc. (NASDAQ:INSP) today announced the appointment of Stephen P. Hawthornthwaite as vice president of corporate development. Hawthornthwaite will be responsible for the Company’s merger and acquisition activities and will report directly to William Lansing, president and chief executive officer of InfoSpace. “Stephen is a welcome addition to the senior management team,” said Lansing. “His wealth of experience and proven track record for identifying and executing on acquisitions will be an asset as we continue to pursue new avenues to unlock shareholder value.”

With fourteen years of investment banking experience advising both public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions across multiple industry sectors, Hawthornthwaite joins InfoSpace from GCA Savvian Advisors, LLC, where he served as Partner and Managing Director. During his six year tenure at GCA Savvian, he was instrumental in building the firm’s digital media franchise and advised on numerous M&A transactions in the digital media and Internet sectors.

Hawthornthwaite earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a J.D. degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
