Stonestreet One, a leading provider of Bluetooth software solutions since 2000, has joined Continua Health Allianceas a Contributing Member.
The Alliance is a non-profit, open industry organization of health care and technology companies joining together in collaboration to improve the quality of personal health care. Comprised of more than 230 member companies from around the world, Continua is dedicated to establishing a system of interoperable personal connected health solutions to foster independence, empower individuals, and provide the opportunity for truly personalized health and wellness management.

Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology is a new extension of Bluetooth technology that paves the way to a new market for watches, remote control devices, and health care and sports sensors. These implementations consume minimal power, offer long-lasting connectivity, and dramatically extend the range of potential applications as an improved link between small sensor type devices and mobile devices.
Bluetopia+LE is Stonestreet One’s new protocol stack that will support dual and single mode Bluetooth Low Energy devices. Bluetopia+LE will be available upon adoption of the complete Bluetooth Low Energy specification.

Mr. Reilly is also is a member of the Bluetooth SIG Ecosystem Committee, an advisory board which provides insight to the Bluetooth SIG’s board of directors on the future of the wireless connectivity market.
