Bodog Strike Black Gold in Edmonton

Bodog, the biggest online gaming brand in the world*, signed a one year deal to advertise Bodog.net with the Edmonton Oilers. The deal includes rink board advertising, concourse signage, radio spots and LED and LCD signage. The deal is the first of its kind for the online gaming company and will be active throughout the 2010/11 season.

“The Edmonton Oilers are ingrained in the fabric of the sport I have followed all my life,” said Patrik Selin, CEO of Bodog Europe. “As a Swede, hockey is near and dear to my heart and we are sure that our first season with the Oilers will be a great one for us and the team. We are in this deal as fans of the game not just as commercial sponsors.”

“Welcoming Bodog to the Oilers partner family is a great addition, they are a great bet,” said Edmonton Oilers President and CEO Patrick LaForge.

The Bodog brand was founded in 1994, is the leader in online gaming services, and has been supporting sports and entertainment initiatives in Canada since 1997. From the development of local musicians to its support of MMA bouts and the CFL, the Bodog brand has been an integral part of the Canadian sports and entertainment scene for more than 10 years.

Bodog.net is a play for fun website that offers free play poker and free play sports contests to contestants in Canada and the United States.
