SteelCloud SteelWorks FedMobile Achieves VMware Ready Status

SteelCloud, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SCLD) a leading developer of mobility computing appliance solutions, today announced that SteelWorks® FedMobile™ VM software appliance for the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server has achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that FedMobile VM has passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog.

Passing the extensive VMware-specified testing helps ensure that FedMobile VM makes best use of VMware technology and is ready for deployment in customer environments.

“We are pleased that SteelWorks FedMobile VM qualifies for the VMware Ready™ logo, signifying to customers that it has passed specific VMware testing and interoperability criteria and is ready to run in production environments,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware.

“I am delighted to receive VMware’s validation of our virtual appliance implementation of SteelWorks,” said Brian Hajost, SteelCloud President and CEO. “The VMware Ready™ designation only adds to the credibility of SteelCloud and our STIG-compliant BlackBerry solution. With government support for older versions of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server ending in June, we are now well positioned to offer our Department of Defense customers with a choice as to how they implement a hardened Blackberry solution. SteelWorks FedMobile VM is deployable in an hour, versus weeks or months.”

The VMware Ready program is a VMware co-branding program for qualified partner products and is a benefit of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. With more than 1,600 members worldwide, the VMware TAP program works with best-of-breed technology partners to provide them a comprehensive set of VMware technical and marketing services, support, tools and expertise to deliver enhanced value to joint customers.
