iLinc, a leading provider of web and video conferencing solutions, today announced the success of its annual user conference, iConnect 2010. This year’s event took place February 23-24 and was powered by iLinc’s own webinar technology.
The two-day summit featured both user and leadership tracks. With leadership speakers including Chris Gosk of Global Knowledge, Noelle Archambeau of SAP Global Marketing, and Melanie Turek, a Principal Analyst for Frost & Sullivan, attendees learned how Web conferencing is rapidly becoming a key catalyst for improving business processes by facilitating remote group decision-making and action. This exciting paradigm shift repositions web conferencing and collaboration as a strategic tool for forward-thinking companies. In addition, the user track featured iLinc’s own product experts who provided attendees with insider best practices and tips to further optimize iLinc in their own operations.
“In the past we’ve hosted this event locally,” says Kelly Roy, iLinc’s VP of Customer Success and Marketing. “But given the economic climate, our customers suggested that we make the event virtual so that more of their employees could attend.” According to Roy, doing so more than tripled last year’s attendance, further bolstering the company’s case that online collaborative seminars are integral to the “modern office” of the present and future.
The company’s patented Green Meter measured savings of over 1.3 million pounds of CO 2 by eliminating over 3 million miles of air travel.
