Calling, downloading apps and surfing the web on the Verizon Wireless 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers near the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Parnassus campus, thanks to a new cell site. The site improves 3G wireless coverage and capacity in the area around UCSF Parnassus campus. From the site’s location, coverage for this new site spans north to Golden Gate Park, south to the UCSF Parnassus campus, east on Parnassus Avenue, and west on Judah Street.
Since being founded in 2000, Verizon Wireless has invested more than $6.5 billion in its California network. Nationally, the company has invested more than $65 billion over that same period to increase the coverage and capacity of its network, and to add new services.
The network upgrade is part of the company’s ongoing investment to keep improving and strengthening the nation’s largest and most reliable 3G wireless network.
