On Sept. 12, UBM Global Trade will launch a new webcast series addressing the key industries driving U.S. trade — agriculture, automobiles and auto parts, and forest products. Each webcast will be moderated by a Journal of Commerce editor and include analysis of the latest trends in each freight group as well as possible hurdles they face this fall. The series is free and open to non-JOC members.
“With the peak shipping season in full swing, and labor troubles brewing on the East and Gulf coasts, this is a critical time for shippers moving these products,” JOC Executive Editor Chris Brooks said. “What impact will the Midwest drought have on agricultural exports? Will automakers sustain the strong sales of the past three months? Is the recent spike in housing a sign of long-term recovery that will drive forest products shipments or just a temporary blip? These are some of the important questions we’ll answer in our fall webcast series.”
